In 2009 David left Deloitte and later that year Deloitte transferred the Identity product to Thomson Reuters. Comply Exchange was incorporated in 2009. David and the team embarked on a journey to redesign, update, and rebrand the application suite. Introducing multitier structure support and integrated tax calculators.

2009

July 2010 Admin and Forms Exchange products officially launched at the EEI conference in New York. Here  Comply was first demonstrated on Android mobile devices and using the newly launched Apple ipad. Additionally, the IRS agreed to provide our first two clients with Memorandum of Understandings for the new W-8 E-Forms application.

2012

In 2012, Comply Exchange implemented the first forms release to support FATCA, upgrading the electronic submission process, reporting and withholding modules.

2014

In 2014 Comply delivered Phase 1 of the Information Exchange platform, a central hub for outreach and sharing documentation across organizations and financial institutions.

2015

In 2015, Comply Exchange partnered with eClerx Services Ltd, a leading knowledge process outsourcing company providing back-office operations. Additional functional added included 1042-S Reporting, Automated Cure Processes, and Intelligent Learning.

2016

In 2016, the introduction of a Comply back office administration service was created delivering digitised documentation services, issue management and reporting. 2016 saw the development of the OCR capabilities using the eClerx eXtractor solution.

2017

In 2017, Comply Exchange employed their first U.S. based person. The design and development team continued to increase features and functionality delivering our first Subscription Documentation service using the Information Exchange platform.

2018

For 2018. Comply Exchange continued to grow moving into first offices. We also continue to expand our capabilities in reporting whilst embarked on a ground-up review and redesign of the Comply application suite.

2019

Comply 2.0 launched. A multi-million $ redesign and upgrade of the Comply suite, including an enhanced E-Form submission processing, 1099 reporting, 1042-S pdf production, extended FATCA & CRS Reporting, and enhanced mobile support.

2020

Due to Covid-19, Comply accelerated the launch of ComplyPro our new and innovative training and support platform, delivered free to tax professionals made redundant or furloughed. We launched ComplyLite our low cost platform for small to medium businesses and released our most comprehensive and integrated OCR developments to date offering true end-to-end “hands off” paper forms receipt and validation. And on the client front we added our largest FI and public accounting firm to date. An unusual, but busy year!

2021

2021 saw Comply agree a partnership with both SOVOS and Certa. These exciting new partnerships aim to deliver the first true and most integrated end-to-end solution from onboarding to reporting across the Information Reporting and Withholding landscape.

Throughout 2021, Comply has continued to grow and establish itself as a market leader, with true innovation, solid product design and development. We’ve expanded the team, become ISO27001 accredited, and with our tried and trusted platform welcomed several new clients into our family. We’ve also rounded off the year by completing our latest release with the new Forms W-8 (Oct. 2021 Revisions).

 

 

2022
