New Form Instructions 2021

In case you missed it, the IRS published 2021 General Instructions for Certain Information Returns. Here are a few important updates:

• The Austin Submission Processing Center has changed to this new address: Internal Revenue Service, Austin Submission Processing Center, P.O. Box 149213, Austin, Texas, 78714

• An extension of time to furnish the statements is now a fax only submission. Do not send a submission by mail. Letters should be faxed to: Internal Revenue Service Technical Services Operation, Attn: Extension of Time Coordinator: Fax: 877-477-0572 (International Fax: 304-579-4105)

• Form 1099-H, Health Coverage Tax Credit (HCTC) Advance Payments, and its instructions have been converted from annual updates to continual use forms

• The title of Form 1099-MISC has changed from Miscellaneous Income to Miscellaneous Information
