Comply Exchange is excited to offer an associate position to work within our growing tax technology business. This opportunity gives the right candidate the chance to work directly with tax technical information reporting leaders looking to modernize the information reporting industry. We are interested in hearing from forward thinking individuals who can take their tax compliance experiences and use them to improve our client-based solutions.

Position Summary


Tax Operations Associate will focus on:


System and administration functionality with respect to U.S. Federal Withholding Tax Compliance (i.e., U.S. reporting and withholding on payments to Nonresident Aliens (Chapter 3), Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (Chapter 4) & Reporting payments to U.S. persons (Chapter 61). This includes withholding certificates Form W-8/ W-9 remittance/maintenance, IRS reporting Form 1099/8966/1042-S/8805 tax reporting, which extends to worldwide automatic exchange of information (i.e., CRS reporting).

Working within the Client Account Services Group (CASG) positively impacting Comply services and the Comply platform. Activities to include, but not limited to:

  • Review digitization activities performed by CASG

  • Perform corrective tasks for managed service clients

  • Review and update process and procedures, where needed

  • Ensure we have and are adhering to client-specific process and procedures and delivery dates as agreed

  • Pull and/or review client requested reports (i.e., compliance or management reports, year-end reporting templates, distribution or withholding statements, etc.)

  • Act as an escalation point for the CASG team as required

  • Ensure that daily & end of month administrative tasks are taken care of, particularly with regards to client reporting

Client Delivery Support:

  • Support client deliveries as required, specifically with regards to client on-boarding and ongoing administration services


Research & Development Activities:

  • Assist testing efforts as required, preparing test scripts, and performing test tasks

  • Identify & document improvements in current functionality


Other general tasks to include, but not limited to:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the Comply product suite

  • Provide operational support to clients, prospects, and Client Account Services Group team


Education & Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Accounting/Tax or related field

  • Working knowledge of IRS Chapters 3, 4 & 61 regulations, as well as the Common Reporting Standard (CRS)

  • Experience with Forms W-9, W-8, 8233 and Self-Certifications


Comply Exchange Ltd. is headquartered in the United Kingdom with operations also in the United States. The position is currently remote, and the ideal candidate would preferably be based in the United States.
